Sara Capotorto, born in Genoa in 1979, graduated in Law in July 2003 from the University of Genoa with a thesis on international maritime law. During her university career, she participated in the Erasmus European mobility program, spending nine months at the University of Nanterre in Paris, France. After completing her internship, she moved to London, where she completed an internship at the legal department of a well-known shipping company, two law firms, and two P&I clubs. Upon returning to Genoa, she began working in the claims sector at Italy’s leading P&I broker, where she remained for three years. In 2007, she qualified as a lawyer and in 2010, she was admitted to the Genoa Bar Association. Since 2010, she has practiced law, collaborating with two leading Genoese law firms specializing in maritime and transport law; she began her collaboration with the firm in 2018. Author of several articles in specialized journals on maritime and transportation law. She loves books and films, walks in the fresh air, and chatting with friends. She has always been active in sports.
